Blogging is new to me!

This whole BLOG thing is relatively new to me...I'm still learning about all the 'ins and outs' but I am anxious to share some of my thoughts and of course pictures of my wonderful grandchildren!

Hey Marv and the Praise 106.5 team! Welcome to the blogosphere. It's great that you are reaching out to connect with your listeners, friends, and further spread KWPZ's family-friendly message to all of us who need to hear it.

While it's been promoted as a change, I see it as a natural progression that the station has been following for a long time.

Oh, I have to share with you how timely your music selection has been. I'll post it later as a subject on my own blog.

Good Morning from Nicaragua.
Not only are you a blessing to just your local community but to me as well in my community of Jinotega. God Bless you all at Praise 106.5.

I am new to blogging too.

Marv,

I'm new to blogging and am not sure after I set up my account if you got my comments.

Marv, I will try again, since I have now set up an account. I want to thank you for your commitment to Christmas music from Thanksgiving to christmas that represents a balanced and culturally relevant perspective. We enjoy the way that you share the meaning of christmas while celebrating many of the positive cultural traditions.
I imagine that you are receiving negative criticism from some in the Christian community who believe that the only tradition worth celebrating is limited in scope to the Biblical story. While this is technically accurate, you are reaching out to meet people where they are and help them on their spiritual journey. You are to be commended. Please hang in there through criticism - We want you to know that we are listening for the advertisers who we assume are supporting this programming and we will patronize them during these economic stressful times for their commitment to reaching out with more inclusive programming that reaches people where they are

i am an avid listener and just heard you right now speak of your dear mom going to heaven just days ago. You sounded so uplifting about it but i know that we are never ready for grandparents or parents to leave or side and I am so very sorry for the real pain and tears that you and your family shed these days as you miss her. Im relieved to hear that you are looking at this in the right perspective....but still know that i and my family will pray for you all as you slowly slip into that peace that passes understanding and back to not feeling bad when you catch yourself smiling for real again.....i've been there when losing grandma (my second mom) love alina solver prayers with youall

Hey Marv and Praise team...I myself am very new to all of this..I would just like to say thank you for your wonderful station, I wake up every morning at 3 am and turn on my stereo. Then go back to bed for a couple of hours...I love waking to Praise 106.5. Today however I was a little surprised that Christmas music was already playing??? I certainly hope that you guys will shake it up a bit, and not just play Christmas music all the time.
I hope that I am not stepping on any toes, as that is not my intention. But if all we hear is Christmas music for the next month, come Christmas day we won't even want to hear it any more...

God Bless the Team @ 106.5

Hi Marv. In response to Granny's comment, I just want to say it was the constant playing of Christmas music in December of 2000 that was the beginning of my journey with Christ. By February of 2001, I asked Jesus into my heart. I can attest to the fact that it was the attraction to listening to Christmas music the whole month of December that put a hunger in my heart to continue listening to the TRUTH through the music that ministered to me when I was lost. So Granny, please bear with Praise 106.5 as they take this opportunity to reach out to the secular world this month through the "Christmas Music" they play. May I suggest that perhaps you and I can pray for those who are searching and empty, to find joy and life everlasting in Christ through the ministry of the Christmas songs being played on Praise 106.5 this month. I'm sure someone prayed for me before I tuned in (at the suggestion of my son) and continue to listen even today, 9 years later! Praise the Lord! Keep up the good work Praise 106.5 You are such a blessing! Merry Christmas Marv and Granny. God bless you.

Hey Marv, thanks for the note on, what we are not doing to draw close to God, we know God is doing everything on his part to draw close to us, but many of us in these days do not allow the Lord to lead our lives his way, prayer from the heart is one thing i've learnt to do, for nothing is hid from God, and it is by every word of God that we live,, hope this encourages you!
Proverbs 4:4
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
